Privacy Policy
Request deletion of your My Vinyl+ data
To request deletion of your My Vinyl+ account and associated personal data, or selected data, visit Delete My Vinyl+ account data. You can make a request without reinstalling the app. The page explains how to contact us, what we need to verify, and how My Vinyl+ data differs from your Discogs account and store subscriptions.
Matteo Comisso develops My Vinyl+, which has free and paid features. This policy describes how the app and website handle information, the services they use, and how to contact us about your data.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are available on this website unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
My Vinyl+ stores some information on your device and sends other information to our servers and service providers to support app authentication, purchases, notifications, analytics and diagnostics. This can include app or device identifiers, purchase records, app interactions and diagnostic information. The data involved depends on your platform, app version, enabled features and privacy choices.
The app uses the following services where configured for your app version:
- Firebase supports app authentication, notifications, app configuration, security checks and crash diagnostics. Google Analytics measures app use.
- RevenueCat processes app customer identifiers and purchase information to provide and manage paid access.
- Google AdMob serves optional rewarded ads when that feature is available. Its ads SDK can process device identifiers, approximate location, advertising and app interactions, and diagnostics to serve ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. Supported app versions present the consent controls required by Google’s consent service for your region and status; the available controls can differ by region.
- TelemetryDeck and PostHog may process app events and installation identifiers for analytics in versions where these services are enabled. On iOS, enabled PostHog analytics can also use your Discogs username as an account identifier.
On Android, the analytics setting controls custom app analytics events. Automatic Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection can still occur in release versions; that setting does not disable every diagnostic or operational service.
The Android waitlist is closed and this website no longer collects email addresses for it. If you previously joined, you can ask me to remove your waitlist information at any time by contacting me.
Log Data
App, server and service-provider diagnostics can include network addresses, device and operating system information, app configuration, timestamps, errors and usage information. These records help investigate faults, operate the service and prevent abuse.
Website analytics and appearance
The main website loads GoatCounter and Ahrefs Web Analytics to measure visits. Their scripts receive page and browser information and can derive approximate location from a network address. Their linked documentation explains the data they process and aggregate. This is separate from analytics in the mobile apps.
The website saves your appearance choice in browser local storage. Choosing System makes the site follow your device’s appearance setting. Browser controls can clear site storage or restrict scripts; doing so may affect website features.
Public Release Links
Where available, Public Release links display catalogue information about a record. Their separate page renderer does not include the main website’s analytics scripts, tracking cookies, fingerprinting, third-party embeds or signed-in account lookups. It reads the saved appearance preference from browser local storage. These pages are designed to show catalogue information without a collector’s collection, wantlist or account details.
Operational systems may process a source IP address and user agent to serve requests and protect against abuse. The application’s Public Release request records include request timing, a request ID, a numeric Discogs Release ID, response status, cache and rate-limit information. The application excludes referrers, query parameters, cookies, account identity and Release metadata from those records.
The backend is configured to run cleanup hourly, removing these request records once they are older than seven days and aggregate service metrics once they are older than 30 days. These settings apply to those application records, not to every infrastructure log or backup. A configured schedule is not a guarantee of an exact deletion time if a cleanup run fails.
Public Release pages use validated external links and a no-referrer policy. They request that crawlers do not index or archive their content. These controls cannot guarantee that every third party will comply.
If a Public Release page offers a Report This Page link, you can submit a report without signing in. Reports contain your explanation and optional contact email, so avoid including unnecessary personal information. Submissions are stored for manual review; submitting a report does not automatically remove a page. If the form is unavailable, contact [email protected].
For closed reports, scheduled cleanup clears the contact email, source-address hash and follow-up permission after 90 days. It does not erase the explanation or review history, which currently have no automatic expiry. You can include a specific report in a deletion request.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.
Browser cookie and site-storage controls depend on your browser. Third-party sites opened from My Vinyl+ have their own controls and policies. App advertising consent controls, where available, do not control every website, analytics service or diagnostic record.
Service Providers
I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
Providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Some act on our behalf; others, including advertising providers, may determine their own processing purposes. See the linked policies for their uses and controls.
Security
I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
My Vinyl+ is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact [email protected] so we can investigate, identify the relevant records and handle the necessary deletion steps. Deletion can involve more than one service and is not an immediate automatic operation.

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
This policy is effective as of 2026-10-20
